In this episode, we discuss the roots of both the Celtic and Roman civilizations very briefly before diving into their early intersections, beginning with the invasion of Britain by Julius Caesar and ending this part with the Boudican Rebellion and immediate aftermath. Enjoyed this recent podcast. I’ve been listening since near the beginning and I much prefer the older history topics. Greece, Troy, the Mongols, ancient China, Rome etc. Keep up the good work

Thanks Mike! I’m a big fan of the ancient topics too – lots of good material. Glad you’re enjoying the show!

      Hey JP,

I actually put a link in the show notes for the episode (it’s a separate post from this one). You can find the video here, though!

Hi, Adam! Iā€™m a new listener making my way from episode #1 and just wanted to say that you have a great podcast here! Ancient Rome (specifically the early Roman Empire) has been my favorite topic in history for years so I was glad to see this episode pop up. I finished Mike Duncanā€™s ā€œHistory of Romeā€ podcast recently (which, as you joked about in the beginning of this episode, is a ridiculously long series that stretched from 754 BCE to 476 CE) and your episode has been a refreshing perspective from the conqueroreeā€™s side. Thanks for providing fascinating content!
