Great episode as always. It’s hard to relate to the “othering” of jews, when all the jews I know are quite integrated / non religious, and few people are as hardcore christians as people were back then. I imagine antisemitism partly went down because of integration, which isn’t exactly a victory.
It’s certainly less prevalent in a post Second World War landscape, but it’s still not uncommon! It just tends to hide behind dog whistles a lot more than it once did. The religious justifications for antisemitism have died down quite a bit, but the racial or conspiratorial ones seem to be really hard to stamp out.
